(This Page answers the People who found me by way of a Search Engine Keyword) There is No Word That Rhymes with Orgasm A writers group I belong to just had a challenge in which we would draw a word out of a hat and write a poem about it. I drew a slip of paper on which was written  "ORGASM."  Wow!! So here goes: ORGASM-- what an ugly word it is to begin with.  This will take some inspiration. So I look it up in Webster.  He informs me, "paroxysm of emotion, esp.sexual; climax of sexual arousal; from the Greek orgasmos, swelling." Still I get no eureka.  So I try Thorndyke, who is more clinical and medical, and tells me it is  "the series of responses at the climax of copulation" Not much inspiration there either, just enough to write: "ORGASM, an ugly word, Concludes a practice that's absurd." But I still haven't found a word that rhymes. So I try my handy dandy thesaurus in Microsoft Word. This is better.  Synonyms for Orgasm are surprising. " Zenith, Culmination, Acme, Pinnacle and Tip-top" (Tip-top??) Slightly more inspired this time I try again: ORGASM is an ancient Grecian word It culminates in Zenith, so I've heard After Acme and Pinnacle, then comes Tip-top, And then the action culminates in Flip-flop. But I still haven't come up with a word that actually rhymes with ORGASM So I look deep into my doggerel bag and find some very creative and inspirational possibilities:  pore gasm,  more gasm, sore gasm and the one that most inspires me hore gasm. But, what comes to my mind now isn't Family Acceptable. (There is no word that rhymes with ORANGE either, but nobody seems to care.) And now that you have read all this, here is my final poem: Orgasm??
